Smart Growth has twenty-five years’ experience in business support programme evaluation (such as business support to start-ups and enterprises). Often comprising surveys amongst business beneficiaries and stakeholders, and secondary research of management information and official data sources, the work establishes in detail the performance of a project against its targets and outcomes and the economic impact of the programme on the local economy. It also sets out the strengths and weaknesses of the support and gives clear and detailed recommendations as to how the business support can be improved for future programmes.
